BTC41 Has Been Around The World
SustainaFest’s mission has always been to utilize storytelling and strategic collaborations to engage diverse communities and drive accelerated systems change. Our current campaign focused on biodiversity and climate change has been a resounding success as we have had the opportunity to share our most recent film, Back to Camp 41, with audiences worldwide. Leveraging the work of the godfather of biodiversity, Dr. Thomas Lovejoy, and working closely with his family members and close colleagues including Sir David Attenborough, we’ve created a touching short film designed to introduce Dr. Lovejoy’s groundbreaking science to new audiences in a way that inspires hope and drives action.
Beginning in March of 2024 with its world premiere at the DC Environmental Film Festival (the world’s largest environmental film festival), Back to Camp 41 has entertained audiences across the globe spanning from the Maine Outdoor Film Festival to the Symbiotic Film Festival in Poland, from the Wao Summit in New Zealand all the way to the Anatolia Film Festival in Istanbul. With each screening, we are honored to help spread the important work of Dr. Lovejoy and those he has inspired and reach the hearts and minds of future scientists, policymakers, and innovators who must carry on his legacy and help address the climate crisis. Dr. Lovejoy was among the first to sound the climate change alarm but he always maintained a message of hope and optimism, a message we are carrying forward with this film and our upcoming “Giants of Science” television series as we seek to inspire current and future generations to tackle the world’s biggest environmental, economic and social challenges.
With knowledge, resources, and passion, we’re confident that changemakers around the globe will rise to these challenges and we’re committed to supporting those efforts. If you would like to contribute to our efforts, including the production of the “Giants of Science” television series, please make your donation through our website. It’s also a great resource for keeping track of upcoming Back to Camp 41 screenings, requesting private screenings, and following all of our work.
